Eating out in Cornwall

Cornwall’s reputation for fantastic fresh produce and award winning food and drink continues to grow so you’ll be spoilt for choice when buying goodies to stock up the kitchen for your stay or fill your picnic hamper. We hope our cottages’ stylish, well equipped kitchen and selection of cookery books will give you plenty of inspiration for eating in or firing up the barbeque. But if you do want to take it easy and eat out, you’ll find a host of great options across Cornwall, including several award winning restaurants.

Here are some of our favourites:Cake

Charlie’s – a short 5 minute walk around the harbour from your cottage, Charlie’s is the place to go for really good coffee and fabulous cakes!

Fifteen Cornwall – Jamie Oliver’s Cornish restaurant run by trainee chefs overlooks the stunning Watergate Bay on the North Coast. Breakfast at Fifteen is a superb start to the day or go for dinner and watch the sunset over the expanse of sand whist indulging in their tasting menu. Whenever you visit make sure you allow time for a stroll on the beach.

Padstow is the home of famous TV chef Rick Stein. He has four restaurants in the town but make sure you book in advance if you wish to dine in his most famous, the Seafood Restaurant.

In Fowey you will find Pinky Murphys. Homemade specials everyday, mixed with an eclectic mix of furnishings, laid back attitude, a special treat awaits you!
