Local Area
Charlestown is the perfect spot for a holiday in Cornwall.
Situated on the south coast, with easy access to the key routes east, west and north, it is an ideal base from which to explore the whole county.
Charlestown is approximately 15 minutes drive from both the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. It is also ideally located for visiting Fowey, the Maritime Museum in Falmouth, Padstow and the Tate Gallery at St Ives.
Charlestown is a designated international heritage site and a rare example of a working Georgian port. Today the historic and picturesque harbour is home to three impressive tall ships and is often used as a movie set.
The village has a beach, several good pubs, a great coffee shop and a couple of restaurants in the village....not forgetting an Ice cream shop and general store. All in all, the perfect location for a traditional Cornish holiday!
